MAY 14, 2025 – Final Signatures Needed to Move Centennial High-Speed Fiber Internet Forward

Visionary Broadband Continues Efforts to Deliver Fiber Internet

Visionary Broadband’s plan to bring high-speed fiber internet to hundreds of homes and businesses in Centennial is at risk, as unsigned easement agreements could prevent the project from moving forward entirely without full community participation.

Launched in 2024, the project would allow more than 280 locations in Centennial to access high-speed fiber internet, enhancing everyday life, supporting public safety and fueling local economic development.

“This would be a big step forward for our community,” said Joe Izen, a Centennial resident. “Whether it’s kids doing homework, parents working from home, or families streaming shows and music, the internet touches every part of our lives. Faster fiber internet would make a real difference.”

Visionary Broadband has received 68% of the signed easement agreements needed to complete the installation, demonstrating the community’s support for the project.  With fewer than 55 signatures remaining, the company encourages residents to speak with their neighbors, especially seasonal property owners who may be unaware that their signature is needed to help bring this project to completion.

“It will take us rallying together to get this project across the finish line,” said Brad Wilson, a Centennial resident. “We need to spread the word about the importance of improving our fiber internet access and make sure our neighbors know what we stand to gain if we get the remaining signatures needed.”

The initiative is funded by a Capital Project Fund (CPF) grant from the state, helping to overcome economic and geographic barriers that have long left rural communities without reliable options.

“The fiber-optic internet we install is future-proofed and built to last – designed to support evolving technology and data demands while eliminating the need for major upgrades down the road,” said Brian Worthen, CEO of Visionary Broadband. “Once completed, families and businesses receive data nearing 20 times faster than before.”
