Outlook 2007 is part of the Office 2007 suite offered by Microsoft. The setup procedure is similar to Outlook 2003 but it differs in the following aspects.

1. To set up a mail account using Outlook 2007, Select
Tools from the top of the Microsoft Outlook window.
2. Select
Account Settings from the
Tools menu.
3. Select
New under the
E-mail tab.

Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP should be selected by default, this is the correct option, select
Next > at the bottom of the window.
5. The Auto Account Setup page should be displayed, at the bottom of the window, tick the box that says
Manually configure server settings or additional server types. select
Next > at the bottom of the window.

Internet E-mail should be selected. select
Next > at the bottom of the window.
7. Under the
User Information section fill out the information appropriately.
8. Under
Server Information the Account Type should be set to
POP39. The Incoming mail server is in the following format
pop3.domain, If your E-mail address ends in vcn.com, the server is
pop3.vcn.com.
10. The Outgoing mail server (
SMTP) is in the following format
smtp.domain, If
your E-mail address ends in vcn.com, the server is
smtp.vcn.com.
11. Under
Logon Information Change the User Name to reflect the entire email address, e.g. "joe" is now "joe@vcn.com"
12. Type the password for the account in the Password field.
13. Click on the
More Settings... button.
14. In the
Internet E-Mail Settings window, Select the
Outgoing Server tab at the top.
15. Tick the box that says
My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
16. Leave all of the other options set at their default settings and click OK.
17. Back to the
Add New E-mail Account wizard. select
Next > at the bottom of the window.
18. Click Finish
