Problem:

Spybot Search and Destroy keeps finding five or so problems labeled "DSO exploit". You try removing them, but every scan they come right back.

Solution:

This was a long-standing bug in Spybot. If you are still experiencing this behavior, it means you have an old version of Spybot. You can solve this problem by updating to the latest release of Spybot. Download the most recent version from here: http://www.safer-networking.org/dl/. Be careful not to click on any advertisements on your way to downloading; just choose a mirror and find the button to download Spybot. Do not download any other supposed anti-spyware program you may see advertised on the mirror sites.

Once you have the latest version of Spybot installed, you should no longer have this problem.
