How to Set a Password on Your D-Link Router

Problem: You need to set the password on your D-Link router for added security to your network.

Solution: The steps below will guide you threw setting a password for your D-Link router

  1. Open Internet Explorer and go to the IP Address 192.168.0.1
  2. Enter in the username = admin, by default the D-Link router has no password unless one has been previously set.
  3. Click TOOLS
  4. Now retype the new password for the admin account and then confirm it, (You can also assign a new password for the user login to the D-Link router from here).
  5. Click APPLY
  6. Click Continue.

You are now done setting a new password for the D-Link router.
