If you get frequently disconnected (the modem hangs up) after being connected for only a few minutes try these steps:

1. Make sure all the cables are plugged in and are not loose.
2. Reboot your computer.
3. If rebooting doesn't work, and you can hear static on your phone line, or others can hear static purchase an EMIRFI (line noise) filter from a store like Radio Shack.
